Thread: Rossi M92 sight.

Hi, anyone able to recommend a source for a peep sight, which replaces that awful safety on a Rossi M92? From what I've read, the guru Steve in the States is not permitted to export out of the USA anymore. Cheers.

Thanks for that. I am after a sight that replaces the safety and uses the same mounting point without having to tap into the receiver.

Stevezguns in the USA make a plug that fits it, or a peep sight. I don’t think he ships to NZ anymore, but if you have a contact in the states you could work around that.

Sure does and cheap enough to warrant importing, if it were possible for me. I might have to go tang sight with the disadvantage of reduced sight radius.

Had a go on one recently with a Marble sight fitted, was really nice

Just remove the safety, and forget about it. If you want a peep sight get it drilled and tapped for a proper Williams 5D or a Lyman 66. Better sights anyway.

(Steve the Rossi guy used to send to NZ but now chooses not to, even though as I understand it, he still could without an export license since his parts are under $100. It's just that they are very wary of their own government over there, and frankly his main market is the US anyway. )
