Thread: Ruger 10/22 Magnum

Would love to get hold of an action for one of these...

Real slim change, anyone have one they'd like to part with???

Have friends in the US but it appears importing a Action/Receiver is a no go, or am I wrong and can do so with a permit, I'm sure there are many wise folk out there who'd know...

Have always wanted to build one up for bunny busting and such like...

its not the importing thats hard, you would need an import permit, and that can take time,
the the US side, you would need an export permit, this costs $250usd and theres no guarantee it will be accepted,you would also need a export agent more money,

They come up on trademe so rarely, I also would love one. Maybe easier to find a magnum research version

would probably end up cheaper getting something here how about cz as well pretty sure they do one but maybe wrong

That they do called a 512 and a new version is on its way called a 511.

All in good, have a Marlin 22WMR Semi auto, but everything I own is Ruger and I've wanted one for years...

I would be VERY wary of a 10/22 magnum. From what I have been told first hand by an owner who loves tinkering with guns, that it was accurate but terribley unreliable.
NZ got the first shipment and probably only shipment. He said that he had to clean it religisely every 50 rounds or it would jam etc. He tried all sort of fixes but nothing worked.
Sold it to fix it!
The magnum research or the Volquartsen are probably the way to go.
