Is the stock wearing alright @Dreamer , Like Buzz said I love the feel just wondering how it's wearing ?
PS- I have been offered one ( by a very generous forum buddy ) to have a play with :P
Wearing fine, just a few scratches from the odd rock

Like mine. It's not wearing off like my old 85 synthetic was. Very light too

Not as good as the unrivalled 308 ;-)
any real world weights on these?
200g lighter than a finnlight.

The scales wont tell you how well they handle tho
I found it was nice and centre weighted,
Stock makes it very easy to setup for off hand shots as its kinda sticks in your hand
So they grip ok when wet?
I felt one in a shop and the palm swell was quite pronounced but in the wrong place for my hand.
As well as the lightness i would hope for stable bedding.
Was Luckily enough to be given Brads 260 to have a play with
I love the feel of the stock & it looks awesome, The palm swell / pistol grip is quite thick and the stock is fairly big in general length ( especially in pull ) but it comes up bwety. If I only had one alrounder this would definitely be near the top of the list.
It's not a super ultra lightweight with the fitted 2-12 VX6 scope ( a scoped sub 7lb 500y+ rifle is nothing to sneeze at though ) & it's a nice scope that suits the rifle really well.
Here's some comparison pics - Suppressed Kimber 7-08 VXR scope, Sako Carbonlight 260 VX6 & Weatherby 30-06 tim Z5 swarvo.

you mention a long length of pull, do you know if it is longer than a finnlight? looks longer than the weatherby?
Might have to call these the carbonheavys now...
Any one got a photo of how they bed them?
I do like the sounds of one in 260 as and addition to my safe
Xmas present to myself :)

Not sure about a standard Finlight stock sorry, but yes it's longer then the Weatherby ( not sure how much ) Their stocks are completely different styles & shapes. the Weatherby with it's Monte Carlo & thin pistol grip compared to the Sako's large pistol / palm, But both come up to the shoulder awesome.
I took several apart and the bedding is already done during the mouldings of the carbon so there is no need to touch them or mock around.
Very tight and stable bedding.
