Used them a couple of times on others rifles, i could never just "trust" them and had to check the zero at 100 yards when the scope was remounted, i don't know if the rifle was zero to start with but it was about 1.5 inches out.

If it could repeat (off and back on again) to 1 or preferably 1/2 MOA thats all it has to do as long as its reliable.

    Did you try that 7mmsaum?

    Two is not enough

To clarify my QD experiences i have to say they have all been the same scenario, you get to the hut and the rifle case is opened, i ask " is it sighted dead on at 100 yrds" usual answer from owner is " i think so ", so its off to the on site range to check, and its usually a bit out, never perfect. But it could have not been perfect before the scope was taken off and the rifle put away. I don't let the scope come off again until the trip is over so i don't know if they are repeatable.

I wish the wife had that opinion

Obviously wouldn't expect to slap a scope on and go shooting long range without checking zero but if i could slap the 2-12 on and go bush would be good.
Just write down the click difference between rifles.
