    Sako S20

Just outta interest, have been offered a great deal on a Sako S20, they don't seem to be a big seller or overly popular, are quite heavy & very plasticie.

So was wondering if anyone has one & their thought on the rifle - setup ?

    Cheers

likely very accurate - look like a disguised Tikka - finn lite II much nicer rifle - not at all popular so resale may be a problem

I have seen a vid of one with top of the line Pulsar thermal on top. Brutally accurate. In a farm block due to be planted in forest. Just mowing down deer all night long. Not a carry rifle but on a bipod just lethal.

A mate of mine got one in 6.5 prc, and it is really accurate. He has taken a hind at 750 yards with it.
A bit heavy but with its internal aluminium chassis it is almost like a hunting TRG rifle .
I have heard of feeding issues with the 10 rounds mag in certain calibers.
I think that where Sako missed the boat is that they should have made a short/medium action, for anything up to 6.5 prc/ 300wsm with bullets seated long, and a long action for anything from 6.5x55 up to the larger new calibers: 300 prc, the noslers series …etc.

Get a real Sako or just get a T3x Aspire or Strata.

I like a thumb hole stock. Really, if the price was right I haven’t seen a compelling reason not to buy one. Especially for farm hunting/easier hunting and targets/gongs where precision is more important than weight. By “price is right” I’m thinking a hefty discount off the $3k retail.
Out beyond ideas of wrongdoing, and right-doing, there is a field. I will meet you there.
