    Scope for .223

Hey team. What are your thoughts on a half decent cheap scope for my goat/wallaby howa? It Currently has a vx1 on there which is great for point and shoot, but thinking something with the bullet drop reticule might be the go for when they are a bit further out? What do you use?Name: 044EB08B-1C45-409D-BED8-F756E2868BE7.jpeg

The Burris Fullfield 2 is a pretty tried and trusted optic for a low price. Ive had one for years that has lived on different rifles for different uses and am always plesantly suprised with it.

Got a Burris AR 556 on mine. Duplex with marks for wind, and a turret for 55gr @ 3200. Poor mans CDS.

How much do you think the vx1 is worth? Will determine how much I can spend it has some scratches on the ocular bell, but the glass is clear.

Ive used 3x9 vxi for years for them....223 wears a vx11 3x9 now and it staying there...ideal for wallabies and perfect match for the .223
if wallaby not clear enough on 9x you are stretching the barrel.....

Na it’s not about the magnification, 9 is plenty. More about having a clearer and quicker reticule. Using the different drop lines instead of estimating holdover.
