    Scope bases for Weihrauch HW60J

    Hi Team,

A while ago I bought a Weihrauch HW60J .22LR off this forum for an excellent price, but haven't had a chance to mount a scope on it.

I bought a set of Burris rings as in the link below.
    https://www.gunworks.co.nz/shop/item...ature-22-rings

Just wondering if anyone know a set of scope bases that would fit? A link would be greatly appreciated.
I tried hard searching on the internet including Rimfire Central but couldn't find anything, possibly because this rifle is not that common.

    Thanks very much

Those rings in your link P.N. 420554 are the rim fire rings designed to fit a 3/8" or 11MM dove tail - Current sets come with two sets of clamps to suit each dove tail. These rings will fit the 11MM Anschutz dove tail but won't clear the rounded receiver top without modification. I haven't tried them on WH but think you may experience the same issue.
The base holes on a WH receiver are an "odd thread" - Your NZ importer may have a set of steel bases & screws to suit. One of mine arrived with bases in the box but the other had none.
I use Burris Signature zee rings in Medium (420521) & High (420531) to mount my Weaver Grand Slams on HW60J & HW66JM.

I use J&P delrin 11MM adaptors for bases. The freight costs & delivery times on these are pretty extreme these days though.

If you are OK using rings without plastic inserts, Sportsmatch dove tail rings will fit nicely - Low or Medium height depending on scope objective diameter.

You can get sportsmatch ringmounts Youngs Airgun in Auckland.
The also sell Weihrauch air rifles new so-may have import contacts.

Wondering whether you reached a satisfactory solution mounting your scope?
These are the Weihrauch accessory bases. Unfortunately your current Burris rings will not fit these bases, they require weaver style rings. Burris of coarse do make very good weaver style.

The rings you have purchased are very good but as pointed out may not fit due to the curvature of the top of the action.
I have used these rings on another brand of rifle with this issue. I machined clearance. If no machining available it wouldn't be too hard to bubba clearance using a round file.

Thanks Zimmer, I'll take a look at it.
Will probably save the Burris rings for another rifle.

    For a while I owned a HW66 Production.
I purchased the genuine bases for it but when I sold the rifle, IIRC, I kept the bases.
I would need to do a wee search to locate them, if you're interested?

@Synthetic the Weihrauch Weaver style bases are very good, they slide onto the dovetail machined into the top of the receiver and then are screwed down into the drilled and tapped holes. I used this system with Burris Signature Zee rings on both of my Weihrauch rifles.

CR Pain in Auckland are the NZ Agents for Weihrauch so it might be worth giving them a call on 09 415 8705 if @zimmer cant find his bases.

    Warne 722M's should work fine.
Synthetic...I actually have a set of the Weihrauch bases which were supplied with one of mine mounted up at the moment. These do not slide over the dove tail but rely on the screws to secure them to the receiver. Happy to take a pic and post it here if you want to see what they look like. I've used the Sportsmatch rings on WH with no issues - Drop right on, are rock solid and I've never marked a scope tube with them.
