Scope/camera ring
After seeing @Nibblet 's one I decided to have a crack at it. I knew I had a set of new rings somewhere that came with a scope but they were stupidly high and never got used so into the gun room and a quick search I found them.
Into the shed to with the bits and pieces and started off by searching for a bolt that'll fit into the camera

So first work on the ring was taking this bump off so I could get the square flush

Then marked it, was a little stuff up on my part I couldn't find my scribe until after I used the knife to mark it!
Attachment 16090
Cut it off with the hack saw
Attachment 16091
Sanded them even on the wheel
Attachment 16092
Guessed where center was and whacked a screw into it to mark it for the drill bit
Attachment 16093
On the drill press with a small drill bit first
Attachment 16094
Drilled out with the bigger one next
Attachment 16095
Go to thread it and yup you guessed it! The fucker I needed was missing!!!!! :pissed off:
Attachment 16096
So with a bit of Kiwi ingenuity I just put the brass screw into the hole and started screwing it hoping it would work and bingo it did.
Attachment 16097
Go to set it up and nek minnit. The bolt is right threw the ring

Attachment 16099
Easy fix, covered it with tape when I put it on the scope just to protect the scopes finish

I'll finish this with some before and after pics.

I made a rig for my video camera that you could flip the screen open and video straight down the scope so you had the cross hairs on the screen in front of you , kids liked to use it when they were to small for a couple of the rifles I could also make sure where they were going to hit before firing by just looking at the screen it cut down on wounded animals and taught them about shot placement .

Thats what I want . For long range kills, go pros and the likes cant see more than 40 odd yards.
-
Here's the first kill with it. 3 today! Keep this up until there's none left, gun was empty! I like the way it is kinda centered on the kill sitting on the scope up there

I just put this stuff on it to it goes like rubber when dry.

That's a cracker mate! Nice little parting remark on your video too huh?
-
Toby I hope you are sending Nibblet a commission as he took a patent out this afternoon.

this is what you see on the screen and recording , the bird was sitting on a fence 100m away . you can use the scope magnification plus the zoom on the camera .

Here's what is made a couple of weeks ago. Just left the scope ring as is and used Hal a ruger scope rail for the camera. Took about 5 mins to make. Problem is I need a decent zoom vid cam now but it worked a treat as dead on target.
