Not Weaver classics.
Trust you lmao
I'd have though most modern scopes hold up fairly well.
I had my VX6 in some horrendous rain and it held up great.
Have used my Delta Stryker and Vortex PST in decent rain with no real issues either.
the Bushnell rain guard on my Bushnell, is quite like the Bushnell rain guard :)
Just get another Bushnell mate :)
Or I guess you could have a go at spraying some sort of coating on the lens to make the rain bead off.
You can buy various lens water shedding coatings from good camera shops at little cost. Easy to apply.
cant reccomend simmons
mine has a rain cloud inside it
second Rain X on the car but again not game to try it on a good scope.
Can I suggest a little cloth for those occasions when it get that fine water mist.
Heavy rain and water when using it as a stick on a river crossing (on the way out of course) normally just shakes off.
2 Guides I have hunted with both had something like this on their pack straps. The synthetic chamois tucks away to stay clean and then you can pull it out to dab the water of the lenses.

The liquid treatment from camera shop is for tip class very expensive camera lenses. Ive had no problems with it so far. But; byer beware I guess.
Anything helps on the wetcoast..
Strangely enough.. my 3yr old vx3i is much clearer under wet conditions than my gen1 vx6. And I consider most usable... the vxfreedom on the 223 is a joke in rain......
You think a wee wipe will help and it can and does.. but nothing helps better than rain shedding glass in....... that last 5 mins of daylight.. you know the time where you shoot deer...
Think I might be heading back in the z5 direction....
Gotta love rain guard. Remember a time when it was hosing down from all angles and my bushnell rain guard won the day when a mob of pigs appeared. Little drops and clear sight pic. Boom
