The local shop (network member) prefers to use Toll couriers.
Have had one thru Fastway's and one thru Tolls. Fastways had the Police mail order form in a envelope on the outside. Tolls didn't, they had also removed the word "Gun" off the receiving shops name. System seems to work, main thing with it make sure the shipper sends you the tracking number.

Make sure you add extra packaging around your firearm as Fastways are rough pricks. They roughed up my latest acquisition, not bad but still damaged a small amount.

Give SAI in Auckland the thumbs up, they are doing the right thing, just charging freight costs. Had firearms both sent to and received from Christchurch by SAI, and both times no problems.

Just watch out as some dealers are really profiteering. I mean I don't mind paying a few dollars in handling fees, after all the dealers are not a registered charity. But one Christchurch dealer whose name doesn't appear on the published list, is really putting the boot in. I was charged $35 on top of the freight cost, for both sending and receiving.

Despite being a long time customer of this particular dealership, I'll definitely be thinking twice before buying from them again.

Morning, make sure it's packaged to NOT look like a rifle stock, then the Courier choice is yours. I use Courier Post as only local outlet. Does the seller require you to supply a Police firearm Mail order form .

What’s the go with shipping live ammo these days - a no go? Reading the local GS D2D conditions they say firearms only. Is there any way aside from finding a mate willing to transport it for you?

Just a quick question about sending stuf. Suppressors need a police form done but does it need to be sent via the network? Being not an 'operational' part to a firearm
