BSA Majestic featherweight in .308, from 1962. The original actual featherweight. Weighs 7.0 pounds with scope and sling and four rounds in the mag. An old campaigner, checkering worn off and barrel all silvered - but still shoots into an inch.

If I take the scope off and use it with just open sights, its negative weight. My pack becomes lighter. I lift over windfall like a floating monk
