Id be keen on giving one a try
Want, already making inquires
Yes please will be getting one in three oh hate when they become a thing here
As they come, they are too short for the nz market with their folded stock unless you would get a way of getting the stock permanently in the fixed position before it lends on our shores. Proof research are already making sparebarrels in all kind of lengths for it. That could be another solution.
Otherwise sig would have to release longer barrel versions for it to work on some of their export market ( barrel length and total length is the same issue in France for exemple).
But we are tiny drop in the market when they probably have so much to sell in USA already. It is nice concept . It would be good to see the same thing applied to a long magnum action in 300 win/ prc and 338 lapua with the CIP mags.
The Q rifle is a similar concept ( common designers?) imported by ken at 556.
Its not wood, or an 85, screw your head on! Have you got the virus?
I don't really care for the folding stock, I'd be happy if it was fixed for the NZ market
Actually I hope they make them in 223 as well. One of these right on minimum overall length would probably be the closest I could get to my purpose built hunting AR I had

Just saw this, good news they are coming in 24" barrels soon... in the USA .
Maybe next year here then? ;-)
Looks good. Would be epic in good old 223
I bet that gets right under Kevin Brittinghams skin haha
good ol sig up to its old tricks
A nice bit kit , id be keen .
Wonder how long the barrel would last at those speeds ? Thats fair honking along .
Good luck trying to get popular US Sig gear landed here through distributer. More chance of getting a parrel import in.
Getting hold of that special .277 ammo and a reamer and just chuck in a .270 barrel would be the go.
Yup exactly! Ken @556 said they were looking at bringing these in. That's where I will be looking
Cursory search on Google seems to indicate that the price would be around 4000 dollars.
6.5 creedmoor is 1900 USD from the first place that had the price. So usd to nzd is around 1800 bucks.
So with profit margin and export permits that's what I reckon.
It's the question you would ask, but being designed for Military they must have found away to address this?
I mean Daniel Defense chf barrels were supposed to be tested to do 10's of thousands of rounds and still shoot ok. Can't see point in a grunt having to cart spare barrels around for his rifle so can shoot hot ammo.
The military would be using a chrome lined bore which would drastically increase service life
I am questioning the logic and logistical nightmare that all those new cartridges are going to create for the US arm forces.
They have now the 6.5 creedmoor, they might have that 277 fury soon, the 308, the 300 win mag, the 300prc, one of the Norma (300 or 338 I don't remember), the 338 lapua, the 50 cal and some of their special forces probably have a few 375 or 408 cheytac hanging around.
I am sure the ammo manufacturers love that at least.
The concept with their new 277 based cartridges is to replace both 556 and 308 with an intermediate cartridge capable of fulfilling the role of both.
