Sig Sauer range finder

Looking at a new range finder
Reliable medium range (1000y)
Would like to be able to add own ballistics, so range up hill down hill gives me distance, dial to say 500y job done.
So been looking at Sig Sauer on line and from what i have read i can down load a app load my own data and will be saved in range finders memory??
I do run two rifles so can i have two lots of data??

Don't really want to look up app on a phone add distance and angle and calculate.then dial
ONE Scope is moa and other will have a custom yard dial
Only reason looking a Sig is warranty,
looking at Sig kilo 1600 bdx or the Sig kilo 3k LRF

Once set up i want simple operation

Their brilliant I have the 1000 as my back up ubit and its flawless fastes range finder apps brilliant they use ab lite simply the best

I’ve got the cheaper Bdx one. Works good and dial up matches Sako app to around 500 yards. Only annoying thing is display isn’t lit up like previous Sig I had. Can only load one set of data at a time but all you have to do is connect to phone to switch rifles.

They are awesome rangefinders and the ballistic solutions are awesome.

Operation is pretty simple if you have some basic skills with tech, you need to pair your phone and rangefinder via Bluetooth to make them talk to each other.

The app is pretty easy to use, essentially you set up a profile for each rifle/load and save them. You can then upload them to the rangefinder so you don't need the phone with you when using it.
You can only have one profile saved on the rangefinder at a time so you do need to use the phone to change it each time you change firearms.

The rangefinder has multiple modes so you can set it to display the equivalent horizontal range (matches your custom dial) then change the mode and set it to display range for a few seconds followed by the drop in moa (calculated from the profile you set up using your data).

Mode showing range then drop would work with the MOA dial on other rifle.

Any other quality options out there worth a look?

I have the sig 1800 bdx and it doesn't do that well at range on deer, only ranges to about 350m 450 tops in real world applications mate had the leupold 1400 and that was about the same. Quite often your trying to range off trees or rocks close to the deer, mate changed to the leupold 2400 and much better, if I was to do it again I'd go the 2400bdx or range finder binoculars

@country cuts that's pretty shit with the sig, am sure the specs say 1000plus on deer with the 1800 model.
I am a leupold fan but felt the leupold lacked a little tech like not been able to enter your own data etc
Might hang out and wait for the sika show
As you know there isn't many options in Gisborne to look at

I really rate my 3000bdx.
I use it in conjuction with a kestrel 5700 elite and can give me solutions out to 4.2k

My 1800 ranges perfectly and way out past shooting range.
The 1800 has a better "engine" than the 1600.
I'd definitely recommend the 1800.
Bang for buck extremely worth it imo!
