Sighting in for different grain bullets ?

I am lookin at new glass for my new rifle . A question ? . Can you use a different bullet weight without having to resight yor rifle . What I mean is if I had a dial up turret scope thingie, can you set them to compensate for different weights?. Or am I being stupid? . Is it something you could play with and get a setting that will zero it say at 150 then use the hold over for the different ranges ?

I have used the same scope on different calibre barrels and just dialed to zero and it worked sweet. I have to do the same when using a supp or not.
    So you're onto it Munsey.

Best just to pick one. unless by fluke they impact the same
but then you need to learn 2 sets of drop charts
    what is the advantage anyway?

The advantage I was after is so I could shoot wallabies with lighter bullets and then have 130 or 140 for deer and pigs . Was just a thought

I run two loads in the 308. The barnes print about 2'' above the amaxes @ 100y perfect
In the newly acquired 243 amaxes are about 2FOOT below partitions not ideal

The barnes being my close load I just leave it and shes good to 250y, bit of a hold out to 300. But Im going to start dialing that load to push out a bit further and only use the amax +400 they just make a mess in 30cal.
