Thread: Small mid priced spotting scope.

Afternoon,

I am after a spotting scope and the Kowa, Swaro $4,000 ones aren't currently in my price bracket. Had a look through the 15-45x Maven and the 13-39x Vortex and have been pretty impressed by them.
It will be used for back packing missions and also at the range. I am often sighting in small calibres like 17hmr, FX in .22 and would be nice to have a better view of the target or gong.

What are peoples opinions of these scopes? Size wise they are great, zoom while not the highest would be more than ample for now. I have seen the Delta's online, never looked through one in person. They are at a good price point but warranty doesn't compete with these two options.

Last time at the range I set up my zoom camera on the target and videoed my session.

They had a Kowa stand at the F-Class Euros recently and you could look down the range through any of them. The 65mm flourite model was really impressive but price was 3000 quid.
