Yes. Haven't shot one with anything else.
Many in the last 20yrs.
Yip have shot plenty, looking forward to shooting quite a few more as well. I do have a few 308's:thumbsup:
Yep, shot a fellow last year....
Ive shot AT a deer with a 308 , seems to be missing from the list !
Yip Reds, fallow, whitetail, tahr and chamois too
A few, mostly with the trusty FN. Will never own another one as the passing on of my mint L1A1 brings back too many sad memories :TT TT:
yes I will take a moment in silence and remember my old 742 woodsmaster - best damn bush rifle I ever carried - first day I ever took it out arrived back on block walked up a side stream of the Te Hoe up from the logging on Mangataniwha - shot a hind and yearling and then a stag all within 2 hours - had a little 2.5 fixed power leupold on it - great combination in the bush- and yes .308
Yes , quite a few
Shot more than a few before semi-s appeared in "better" calibers.
about 1980 Te Tawa 3 of us in the roar did a big trip -you will know the area well - we went down the Waiau from Whites clearing all the way down and came out at Mangataniwha station lower Waiau - bloody decent walk - me mate took his browning Bar in .270 - bloody thing fired one shot and then would not recycle rest of trip - he had effectively a single shot - gave him a bit of stick as me clunky old 742 rem just kept going - I will never tackle that lower gorge before the farmland ever again - damn scary-
Did that trip a wee bit earlier. But cut up onto the Ridge below Sid's and dropped down into a deep eel infested creek then over the top down to the lake. First hut had some delicious trout sitting around all lonely, if you're reading this thank you very much.
Yip love my 308
