it wasn't stamped on the barrel he bought it from the sport shop as a 270 so put normal 270 ammo thru it and thought "this is fucked shoots like shit and deforms the case"!!! not knowing until he showed a mate of his and the worked it out so they got dies and reloaded and his first group was a clover leaf!!!

So how much difference would there be in case capacity between this and the .270wsm, close?
I know of one rifle up here, (flew back to Canada on Sunday) and I the guy really likes it but is a bit vauge on why he did an AI on his .270.

Why not ai the 270 ?

It certainly perks up the 280 & 30-06.

I will soon have a reamer for the 6.5-06, might not gain much but who knows ?

In the real world you are not going to see any worthwhile benefit over a standard 270 are you?

depends whether you consider less resale value and having to fire form cases and buy weirdo dies a worthwhile benefit

Yeah but is it fast enough to make any noticeable difference - I am guessing not really
