Seeing this reminds me of a gentleman named Puckle who made a gun that fired round shot for shooting Christians, and one that fired square shot for shooting heathens. I'm still trying to work out why.....does square shot hurt more???
I'm wondering, is this gun strictly for Valentines day, where you fire heart shaped chocolates ?? (at subsonic velocities of course, supersonic would be so rude)

As it says made to show off your skill as a gunsmith and a curiosity rather than for hunting or shooting
It is quite impressive but I doubt it was intended to be shot
It's hard enough to make a perfectly round barrel and a heart shaped one would be diabolical

What magnificent craftsmanship.
It takes 43 muscle's to frown and 17 to smile, but only 3 for proper trigger pull.
What more do we need? If we are above ground and breathing the rest is up to us!
Rule 1: Treat every firearm as loaded
Rule 2: Always point firearms in a safe direction
Rule 3: Load a firearm only when ready to fire
Rule 4: Identify your target beyond all doubt
Rule 5: Check your firing zone
Rule 6: Store firearms and ammunition safely
Rule 7: Avoid alcohol and drugs when handling firearms
Probably made for jilted lovers to send a statement.
Overkill is still dead.
Magnificent! The customer must have been very wealthy as there are years of work in that gun. I have seen Mr Puckle's gun in the Tower of London Armories and yes, I believe square bullets would hurt much more than round ones! I have seen various videos of straight broached tubes being twisted to form rifled barrels and it is probably perfectly satisfactory for low-powered slow-twist use.
