    Sticky ammo

I took my recently acquired Rem mod 7 in 308 to the range last week as I wanted to sight in with new ammo. The rifle was sighted in at 50 yrds by myself, with Hornady 150 sst when I got it, but wanted to step up to something more suited to big reds.
The new ammo is 165 gr Australian outback, which I thought I would try as it is factory loaded with Sierra gamekings, which I like.
I only put five down the range, and every round stuck in the chamber after firing, meaning I had to give the bolt a whack to release the spent cartridge.
The rifle cycled Hornady just fine, so I am guessing the ammo is at fault here and not the rifle.
    Any thoughts please?

Measure case length and compare with your SST cases, it never did that with anything else put through, Lapua, Remington or Federal, Black Hills 168, no dramas, something up with the Aussie ammo.

My last rifle I tried 5 different brands of ammo through it, The cheaper ammo of the lot did exactly as you described, After 4 rounds I gave up and blamed the ammo. How ever I held onto that packet and I have since tried that same ammo through my new rifle and it shoot's, cycles perfectly fine, So who no's.

My remmy 308 did exactly the same with fiocchi factory ammo and was good as with everything else so I don't use fiocchi at all

Cant do a pic right now cam, but it is head stamped simply @308 WIN ADI
I have just checked the remaining ammo, and quite a few cases have scratches that are deep enough to catch my thumbnail, and/or small dents on the shoulder.
Shit ammo for sure, and not even cheap in this case

I am happy with the rifle mate. Obviously this ozzy stuff is substandard.
I know a guy who is close to the people who make /market the stuff, so will get him to pass on my feedback

So it looks like the brass is to blame. Has anyone else tried the Australian out back stuff yet ? Good bad or indifferent ?
