It shows you how in real life combat your suppressed gun could be out of order after less than 400 rounds. Good luck for trying to remove the suppressor from the barrel in these conditions!
It was a cook off, the suppressor probably aided the heat buildup but did not itself fail so by the time the stuck case was sorted there would be no need to remove the suppressor as it would have dumped a lot of heat by then.
