Suppressor thread - Too small?

I think I have a 1/2"x20UNF thread on my current Gunworks suppressor. Its looks small. Would it be okay on a 308 bore?

Do it, if it shoots like shit it was to small. cut 3/4" off and make a bigger thread

I don't care about accuracy too much, or having to cut it shorter; I just don't want my face to be shredded.

I doubt the suppressor will either. Its just a standard one with the stainless muzzle break.

Whay has all this thread stuff only come up in the last few months? when there would have been hunderds an hunderds an still are (rifles) getting around with the standard old 1/2"x20tpi.....................

that is what my 30-350Rem Mag had on it and it never let go with the two cans I had on it ......the second can didn't get too many rounds through it as it started to rattle.....and being the "Dan Bomb" model got put aside. Gont run that barrel anymore.
