    Suppressor Question

Looking at getting one for my 7-375 needs to be able to handle 80gns of powder. Don't want to heavy as the rifle scope combo only weighs 7.5 Lb.

Pro and Cons on the following.

    Gunworks

    Mae

    DPT

    Hardys

Because I'm useless with a computer can some one start a poll.

Suppressors on big guns are dumb. Too big and long. I had a Hardy on my 7mmRUM worked fine. Get a brake instead.

    I have DPT magnum.
Gets used only when hunting with Pooch to save whats left of her selective hearing. Use brake for gongs and range shooting and neither brake nor suppressor for bush hunting (not that I have done mush of anything this year)

I would say stick with the brake if you are "long ranging" better bang for your buck.
All those with dogs waiting no longer fear death. Those with many dogs waiting even welcome it in it's time.

You have a T2 brake on there?
I had a hardy on my 7-375 it didn't last more than day before it went it for sale thread.
It didn't tame the recoil down as much as I hopped.
Went to hunting with nothing on, and screwing the brake on for longer shots.
    What thread is your barrel?
I have a dpt and hardy grenade here you could try.

I'd get an Ase ultra off 45 south as you will
Need larger than a standard magnum suppressor as 80gn
Is more than 300 winmag and more pressure
As it's through a smaller hole kills cans trust me I know haha

Yeah got a T2 and love it.
Was thinking about a can just for the dog and noise for one area I hunt.

Thats a very valid & much over looked consideration , noise for the game , so they are not spooked for the next 20 quare miles .

I found hunting goats with 308 with very large suppressor , that it reduced the amount of noise to a level that did not imediately spook all game off , I found I could get 4-5 shots before they really noticed anything , loudest noise was the sonic boom & the twhack of the animal getting hit .

And even IF game does spook , they are not running hard for the hills , and if you keep hunting the next hill/ridge , game in that area is not alerted .

Also your ears are not ringing , and shooting is more enjoyable for it .

Everything has plus & minus .

On my rifle the dog definitle appreciates the Suppressor but it does make the rifle VERY long which would make bush hunting fun......not
Braked is actually not that much shorter about 50mm at a guess but seems a lot more portable
I have posted these Pics before but to give a visual Idea
    26 Inch Barrel + Suppressor =

    Braked (T2)

    Nothing

Yep way less noise signature towards the animal.

Also confusing with angled ported brakes as the majority of noise is going away from them.

Just got an ASE 22 can & a couple of SL5s for myself to try before I supply guys with them.

The SL5 at 390 grams is very nice & short, looks great

If it does it wil still be plenty loud enough to make everything for miles run like buggery.

Hardy, I'm putting 90ish gr though mine amd have been for the last 700 or so sounds still going strong it's gen5 as well.

Hardy only way to go with long barrels don't add as much as others amd work well. Or you get a huge long stick with all the others.
