Stripped my T3 stainless bolt and found a Filthy piece of mild steel quietly rusting away:wtfsmilie:.
The firing pin spring retaining collar.
Also some pitting on the firing pin.burnish with steelwool fixed that.now has a coating of high quality oil:cool:
Nowhere I hunt will be cold enough to freeze.
All weather action my arse,if you've been in the rain might pay to have a look.
Might have to do mine. Do you have a link to a video or something that shows you how to do it?
The main reason for misfires in a T3.
Being surpprised about the need to strip and clean is a generation thing maybe?

ANY Stainless rifle is LOW Maintinance not NO maintinance allrifles will get rest on them if not looked after
I strip my bolt down after any hunt in the bush it is amazing how many small leaves end up inside the bolt
Have had the same thing on my ones ,,,my .223 had a couple of misfires and and was rusty between the firing pin and the rear sleeve ,,,,also polished out the factory machining marks at the rear of the firing pin as the sleeve can stick on these ,,,,i tried a heavier mainspring that is sold as an upgrade for misfires and better halfcocks ,,,,but have taken out as created a pretty heavy bolt lift,,,,,since sorting the rust as Madjon brought up and sorting the firing pin has been great
How long have you had the T3 for before you noticed this?
