    Tapco AK mags

    The 5rd ones from Brownells will not clear customs as they, apparently, have the appearance of holding 15 rounds.



    I hear they're shit anyway.




    Anyone in Nz sell 5 or 7 rd mags that aren't shit?

    Who said customs won't let them through? I imported heaps and they didn't get stopped. They're good quality mags.

    It seems they are going full retard on anything AR/AK related lately. I've heard a bunch of stories of dudes having things stopped that shouldn't be.

    Anything that can be attached to an AR or AK now needs a letter from your AO to customs stating that it will only be going on an A-Cat rifle. We had our last shipment held up with this new policy.

    My arms officer is good and had my stock released, but the tapco 5 rders seem to 'appear' to hold more than 7rds

    *sigh* Appearance is so subjective... My Tapco mags hold 7 but if one places them alongside the factory 5 rounder, it might appear as if it could hold more.
