Agreed. Some of the early ones were rather good. I still have one from the early 90s on a 6.5x55 that has been as reliable as any other scope could be, but for around $150 the likes of a Nikko Airking 4x32 would be better. They are made to withstand the vibrations etc from the springers air rifles which is worse than recoil to a normal scope. But with your cast bullets and reduced velocity the Tasco should work well enough as long as it is OK to start with. That level of recoil should not do it any harm.
