    Thermal scope

A friend is looking at getting a thermal scope. He has an old pulsar apex that has died and is no longer supported. Nothing against pulsar or their service. Just too old a model now.
So he's looking at what's about. His current thought is a Guide tu413 35mm. Anyone have any experience with one, or know of something better in that price bracket? I have suggested hickmicro or sytong as possibilities.

It's a hard game to play in this one - as soon as you buy something it's basically on a steep slide to being worth not a whole lot as the new generations of gear are such a big leap up every time they come out. I remember playing with the then newly acquired military stuff and being blown away. For the cost of that, the new stuff you can buy now for less than $3K pisses all over it and next couple of years it will be cheaper and better again!

This will be the next step up in tech and a huge step down in price. Due end of May.
