    Thermal Scope recommendations/info please

I'm looking to get a set-up for pest control around my farm - rabbits, hares, possums and feral cats. I'll buy a silenced/suppressed rifle and consider subsonic ammo so that if shooting at night I can hopefully not just shoot one and scare the rest.

I know nothing about thermal scopes other than the videos of people shooting with them are good to watch, and you can spend a shit-ton of money on them.

Looking for any information or recommendations that would help in my buying decision, hoping to put a set-up together for $3k or less as it's only for my farm use. I could walk into a gun shop and ask the same questions but if anyone here has knowledge or advice to share that would be appreciated.

    Thanks.

https://nightvision.co.nz/ @55six would be worth a talk to.

I'd recommend getting a unit with range finder built in.

The Sytong AM03-35lrf is currently the best value on the market. It has laser rangefinder, ballistics, uses 18650 batteries that are easily available and price is 2899. I use on on a 22lr shooting subs and the ballistic calculator extends the range you can use it effectively.

I've had a good run out of my pulsar xp50. Had for 4 years and still looks good when comparing to newer models

From what I've seen......and I'm no expert but the PARD range of thermals and NV clip ones seem to deliver excellent performance at a not too eye watering price. A mate recently bought one of each and the thermal performance was staggering, it clearly lit up a possum in a tree well over 100 yards away .in broad daylighht
