    Are these rangefinders any good?

EVENTPRO Laser Rangefinder - Long Range: 15-2000m | Trade Me , Just wondering if anyone has had any experience with these. They look a little dodgy.

    Why does it look dodgy?
Ask him for a 5 day trial maybe? Or get someone in Auckland to rey if you can. Would be a great deal if it was what they say it is

Only a 30 day warranty. Might be worth a try still.

I think the warrany may be to do with it "Not working" i.e. Not turning on etc or ridiculously stupid readings. A trial will let you really see if it does what you want it to do.

    From the ad copy

This device is graded as ranging up to 1400m but in our tests it has regularly achieved up to 2000m
it will return accurate and instantly fast readings of almost any target under 1000m

Not suspicious at all. Go for it.

Best range youv had is sort of irrelevant. the max range you can consitantly get is the important one

definelty agree with ya there Cam, My Leupold is supposed to be like 1200yds but most days 700yds is max.

Bloody annoying when ya can't quite get the target range and have to move a bit closer
