Thompson / Centre Arms .223 REM

I have one of the above as part of a deal done a while back, I see on the hammer it has the option for centre fire or rim fire so I take it that if an insert was put into it then it could be used as such...where does one get the insert from?...how much?...does insert do both .22 LR and .22 magnum?...cheers

I have made one for the same rifle.
Made for .22 LR and works fine
.22 WMR would be more accurate because the projectile fits the bore better

The chamber converters are relatively cheap from USA but need permits

Do you have to eject converter to remove fired case?

    No
The extractor clip holds the converter in
And you pick the fired 22 case out with your finger nail

22 wmr has more wall surface area so might be a little harder to remove

But it's just for infrequent use
