I also got a reply from the manufacturer..
"Yes that is correct, the 1/2x36 tpi (stands for 1/2" diameter, and 36
threads per inch) and the 1/2x36 UNS is the thread designation which
specifies the angle of the thread, however they both mean the same"

So im sorted .... cant wait have it made and have it running on my rifle
