You may ask why . Since the confiscation I am left with ammunition and no bangstick , and as the spc is superior why not.
Re barrel first thing and then bolt mod , this may be the hard part.

A 270 barrel if you could set it back far enough would be the correct bore
They arnt hard to find for t3s
The 224 Valkyrie uses the same bolt face as 6.8spec, so perhaps look into rifle available in that cal?
As above 270 barrels are readily available for the T3 and usually go cheap.
My concern would be what to do with the rifle once you run out of 6.8spc components, whether you kept it as a SPC or try turn it into something else.
Suppose if you go the 223 T3 route you could get the barrel reamed too 224 Valkyrie.
Can't see a 270 barrel would have enough meat to chamber for a smaller cartridge , while 6.8 may be a novelty here , can't seeing it disappearing for a while yet, still a bit of factory ammo out there as well.
224 Valkyrie and 6.8 SPC are going to be dinosaurs in this country in the absence of the AR15 platform in wider use (how many P endorsed pest controllers shooting either will there be? 1 or 2?).
A more realistic option is to get a 6.5 Grendel (probably a Howa Mini) and rebarrel with a custom barrel to 6.8 SPC.
Same bolt face again.
How much brass do you have? It may just be better in the long run to just cut your losses....
