Tikka 7 SAUM Long Action Mag

Cut and filed the spacer out of my old WSM mag and put a LA mag follower in today. Although the 162 are seated quite away out, there is still about 8mm of space at the front of the mag.
Is this going to be an issue under recoil?

I was originally going to put a smaller spacer in the back and cut the LA follower down a little thought I’d find out about this first.

I also spent a while sanding out the donar long action mag internal walls and now it fits a SAUM/WSM case, as an fyi to anyone going down that route. The only difference is the top feed lips are longer on the WSM mag, so controlled the round better, otherwise I would’ve just used the long action mag.

I just used a rem mag magazine worked fine.
The other way to make them wider is make a block of wood the size you need the internal to be, heat the magazine shell up with a hair dryer or gas touch and tap the block of wood in and leave it until it cools.
Pull out the block and the mag stays that shape.
