    Tikka mag feeding problem

For my 7mm wsm, brought a long action tikka magazine, now having issues getting rounds to feed.... any bright ideas?

Some times the rim of the case is high enough to catch but most of the time it won't. Haven't done the bolt stop mod yet but releasing it doesn't help (have to release bolt to get chambered round to eject anyway)Name: 20191101_195414.jpg

Feels like the mag spring is too far forward for the wsm brass

Rifle came with a medium tikka mag same as my 308, hand loaded rounds are far too long to fit

A bit more playing around and I think the brass is a little to far for the magazine walls.... so do I have to try and fill the inside of the mag walls? Crc on the rounds as I load them?

"Feels like the mag spring is too far forward "
That was my first thought when I saw the first photo too.

The Wsm mags are wider inside than the long mags

So I ended up with the wrong mag? Tild the shop it was for a 7mm wsm and needed to be long enough to fit hand loads.... so is there a long action fat body mag available?Name: 20191101_201004.jpg

I realise 7mm wsm isn't on the label but the medium action was WAY to short

Nope, you need to modify a Wsm one

If you want WSM seated long you have to modify a WSM mag as a long mag is a different mag and is too narrow.
There is no WSM long mag if that makes sense.

Crap!!! I looked at that option and put it in the too hard basket, hence buying the new long action.

On the bright side I guess I now have a follower that will be long enough!

Modified one for my 338wsm, just cut the web out to allow the base to the rear of the mag.

You can pull the long mag apart and get in there with a sanding dremel to ease the sides. @GWH did it I think.

Also put some ceramic dry lube on the inside. Makes the it smoother and no stickiness

Was about 8 years ago but I think I used hacksaw blade, then cleaned up with a sharp blade
