Thread: Tikka T3x Lite in .30-06, questions about barrel length

If you look at the reloading manuals with 24 inch barrels and mid weight bullets the 06 is right up with the 300 wm but once you get to 26 and beyond the wm pulls away. If you’re looking at going to 22 inches then you’re back in 308 territory so why have a 06. I would stay at 24 and if you’re getting hung up in the bush move slower.
