    Tikka T3X stock weight

Not sure who needs to see this if anyone but a standard tikka T3X stock (wideland) weighs 795g.

Is that good or bad, they are amazing stocks for a factory rifle.

I’m not sure, I would think it’s pretty good though since when compared to the carbon stocks I can find online the biggest saving would only be 125g

Less really because the carbon stocks have lighter recoil pads.
The T3x pad weighs about 70gm and is decent enough, the limbsaver weighs a brutal 110gm. Fit a cervallati grind fit and you save about 30gm and its a nicer pad than the Tikka one.

Wow, the factory stock is lighter than I thought.
I don't have a Wiedland stock but I have a take off synthetic standard version. Never weighed it.
My C/F is about 680gm, about as light as they get.

Its not always about weight, the biggest advantage i found with carbon stocks is they shoot the same point of impact off any rest
bipod loaded or unloaded, shooting off a rock or a pack it doesn't matter im yet to find a plastic stock that will do this and carbon being a lighter is a added bonus not a game changer.

As far as std "synthetic" stocks go, the T3/T3X stocks are pretty rigid and have far less forend flex than most. About three planets ahead of a Rem SPS (shitty plastic stock).
