    Tikka weight

I’ve been trying to work out how Tikka’s weigh as little as they do .
When you consider that all chamberings use the same size action ( long ) how do they achieve the light weight that they do .
I know they use plastic alot , Mag / Trigger guard etc but even so they must have less metal in the action and barrel or something?
FALL IN LOVE WITH THE NUMBERS , NOT THE IDEA

And I’m fairly confident if you sectioned an action vs a rem for arguments sake as you say their would be a lot less steel

The tikka barrels are still pretty stout beside a kimber or howa mini lightweight
The action is pretty light but that’s only really impressive when you start using it for long action calibers or magnums

Agree, not that light. I don't think my T3X deserves the title "Lite". Good rifle otherwise.

Also plastic mag and trigger guard helps, it’s all really in the plastic stock it’s a t3 action in a lite stock basically. Same action in a laminate stock then becomes a different model ect

Then it’s clapped at the knees with its average mag length unfortunately 300 win mag that is 7rem mag works well . Epic rifles . The stocks are my
Favourite factory offering how lite does a rifle really need to be . The stock is pretty lite given you only shave 100ish grams going carbon

Alot lighter than my sako carbon light.
A light weight scope can make a big difference.

I feel Tikka's hit that 'practical lite' balance well vs some other offerings that are actually lighter as others have mentioned.

A lot of the other lite options seem to go too light on barrel profile and consistent accuracy is hard to achieve.

Tikka stocks are stiffer by comparison as well, which helps.
