Where has the brand come from Bruce? Ie was it originally something else, or x staff of XXXX scope company are now making this etc.

I think Bruce said they were ex employees of the Nikon optic development team, resigned had a stand down period then started manufacturing their own scopes. @Tahr can we see the turrets please.

    Here you go @nor-west

First pic is the turret it comes with. Second pic is the covered target turret that comes in the box as an extra. Its slightly higher and has a 19 minute (one revolution) zero stop. Very cool.

The top knurled disc on them screws of with your fingers to lift the dial off and re-align the zero.

Yes. You can also purchase for usd50 a ballistic turret for your own load.

Im not a big fan of the colour either, but could live with it, if the rest of the features/abilities live up to the expectations. 20 moa per roatation, great glass, zero stop, all for that money is pretty good value.

You will find your answers in here: https://www.nzhuntingandshooting.co....r-scope-40097/ and in this thread if you look back.

I'm not that sold on the colour either but its just a minor factor. Guys cerakote their rifles and stocks in worse colours than that.

Looks the part hope it functions as it is supposed to. By all accounts it isn't a cheap scope so it should be fine.

Here's my first report on the Tract Toric.

It took 3 shots to sight it in after bore sighting. It tracked spot on for that.

Did the sighting in at 100 yards on 15x. Eye relief was good and not overly fussy. The parallax adjusted nicely for a crisp picture. I shot 2 "groups" of 2 shots touching.

Then one shot at the 200 yard gong. Dead centre.

Then dialled 9 minutes for a small rock at 575 yards. 2 shots, 2 hits.

Wound back to zero, and tried the ballistic reticle. The Tract ballistic program said the dots with my data were dead on for 300, 400, 500 and 629 yards.
Fired three shots at the 625 yards gong using the bottom dot. Held dead on. Three hits. The site picture at 625 was clear and crisp. Dots on the ballistic reticle are about .5 moa.
Then the 300 yard gong and dot for 2 shots. Dead on, 2 hits.

Lastly fired 3 shots at 100 yards again. Dead on.
@Brian had a look through it and his comment was that you are getting a Swarovski for half the price.

When I got home I swapped the standard covered turret for the slightly higher target covered turret that came with it as an extra. Easy to fit. Has a zero lock which gives me 18 minutes of elevation, and the clicking unlocks and locks by pulling the turret up or pushing it down (like the HD5).

So. Tracks well. Ballistic reticle works well and is not fussy. Turrets exact and firm. Target turret excellent.
The glass? Well, I'm waiting for a cataract op for my right eye at the moment (when I can afford it - but too many toys to buy) and I had no trouble shooting .5 moa and banging the gongs. I would say its pretty good but its the hunting situations that will really tell.

Its not often I come home from the range buzzing, but I did this time.

    Cheers
