    Trademe Range finders

I see there's heaps of no name range finders on trademe, anyone ever used them? There's some that claim to get out to 1000m and angle compensation for cheap as chips.
Looked at some feedback and almost all are positive.
What are some cheap alternatives you guys have used and how do you find them?

It's a minefield of confusion for sure.

I have this one. The optics aren't amazing but it ranges out to 800m

This one could fit the bill? It's certainly original and probably very reliable.

Look for a second-hand Leica rangefinder on some of the American shooting/hunting forums. Then get the sender to falsely declare how much it's worth, and end up getting a quality product for a bargain. That's how I've bought most of my non-firearm hunting equipment. Thank me later...

Americans are renowned for being gear addicts, and they're always selling stuff cheaply to make room for the latest and greatest gadget on the market. There's no need to compromise on gear if you play it smart!
