Ultimate Rifle Sling - from Specialty Outdoor Products

Anyone have or have used one of these?

Ultimate Slings by Specialty Outdoor Products - Hunting, Shooting Rifle, shotgun, gun, bow.

I like the fact it appears to be really 'grippy' on the shoulder, and like how you can split the strap and put the 2nd bit over your head when needing to be hands free for climbing etc.

I havnt been using a sling at all, instead just holding rifle in hands, but only because the cheap shitty sling i had always slipped off the shoulder and was next to useless. But at times i can see a good sling would be handy.

Yeah looks stupid eh, must have recorded with two camera angles, but only ended up showing one. Havnt found them for sale in NZ as yet, will it be a drama to import?

Slings can be buggers at the best of times for me, without complicating it more. They are always getting tangled up in something, That double strap set up would be a disaster for me when its not shouldered. I can even imagine getting my leg tangled between the two straps as I grovel around amongst the trees. Nah, not for me.

And with that sling and my bino harness on as well, I would look like a flat chested sheila wearing 2 sports bra's.

I've got the thick one and the thin one, like them both, best slings I've had

+1 hate slings badly.

I often take mine off when in bush but it's handy to have in case you need both hands

Because your flash harry packs have auto loaders on them and shoot for you :D

I couldn't hunt half the country I do without a sling.
I have a scabbard in my pack but having the rifle in that will kill you by tipping you ass over tit over some of the terrain.
It must be some cruisey hunting not to need one.

My slings have qd swivels and take 5 secs to remove and put in day bag or pack when not needed. Simples.

Fair enough. I am also used to never putting my firearm down anywhere.
Either carry it or sling it.
If you ever were caught with it further than arms reach in the Army, bad things happen. So it became habit to have it on me wherever I went.

Ok, i have emailed the manufacturer and await response - Will update when i hear back.

Had one years ago and just gave it away last year to a mate.
It worked well and stay on the shoulder with out slipping off and takes the shock out of heavy rifles when rock hopping.
The down side is the rubber chaffed my neck when only wearing singlet or something else without a collar and does tend to bounce on the shoulder with a heavy rifle. Twice the sling swivel screws unscrewed resulting with the rifle and scope on the rocks on a climb. So gave it the ass after that debacle. I only really like slings for climbing or walking in or out and now prefer quick release slings for the tight bush stalking.

Yep I'd be in too for a couple at least.

Are these not quick release?

Looks like its not QD but could be swapped for QD mount easy enough

That looks pretty hand, could also be keen on a bulk order.

I am another happy owner of one. Cant fault it really. Performs as they advertise.
Think it came from Brownwell's USA .Wasnt overly dear to the doorstep anyway.
The swivels are screw in type, the quick release might not be such a good idea as the sling does "bounce" a wee bit on your shoulder.
