    ultra light scopes

what are the good options in the lightweight scope arena?
    Leupold VX-2 2-7x28mm weight 8.2 oz (232.4g)?
    others?

id rather vairable power to make it more versitile if possible.
do lightweight scopes sacrifice reliability? dialibility?
can you fit a MOA CDS turret to the Lightweight leupolds?

    is the difference noticable to the vx3 3.5-10x40 @ 12.6 oz/357g?
    or the vx3 2.5-8x36 @ 11.40oz/323g

    Z5?
The range of what we think and do is limited by what we fail to notice. And because we fail to notice that we fail to notice, there is little we can do to change; until we notice how failing to notice shapes our thoughts and deeds

Fit a VX3 4.5-14-40 CDS In Talley lightweight ringmounts, remove 2 inches from your barrel, flute everything if you have to, eat less, hunt more

Iv own both the 2.5-8 and 3.5-10 vx3s that I can choose from and I do love the CDS system.
barrels already 19 inch and talleys already fitted, rifles already apparently the lightest production rifle made in the world, or so the kimber advertising says.

fluting is right up my alley but I will see how light this rifle is to start with before I decide weather I want it to stay .243 or go to my ultimate in 260
I just really want to do the rifle justice.

25mm holes would lighten the cup better than flutes IMOI

The old adage, if you want to save weight before a hunt, take a big dump...

You would save 200gms with carbon fibre stock.
Must admit after putting my rifle on a diet, I ended up intentionally putting weight back in it to get the balance how I like it.
Just couldn't shoot it well offhand after lightening it.

Is that completely bare or with trigger guard ?

The carbon ones are generally 600-650, depending on recoil pad & manufacturer.
