Thread: Using trademe

I emailed Trademe about making an "in trade" filter, like there is for removing car dealers in the car section.
They said they would think about it.

Perhaps if a bunch of us all emailed them it might happen.

All the Gun City listings are a pain in the ass.

This thread should be a sticky, and win post of the year as well.

I've been using the search "* -city" for a while with excellent results, just do it on whichever category you are searing in and it will show you everything in the category minus any listings with city in them.

You can add exclusions thus:

NOT "gun city" NOT "magnum imports"

This will exclude Gun City and The Gun Shop / Outdoor Hut. Sometimes the name of the business doesn't work so you have to find a text string that is in every ad. So in this instance, all The Gun Shop ads have "magnum imports" in the description. Change as required.

The dealers pay big money ( car dealers) so if you can cut them out(filter out ) they will squel and TDs might loose money.

So best we go stealth mode and keep it in house or trademe will kill our little work around if gun shitty complains....

If they want their trademe listings to be respected they could at least put some information and better photos up for their second hand firearm listings.
