Value of Brno Model 2 with leupold scope?

    Hi all,

Wondering if someone here might be able to help me value this rifle. It is a Brno Model 2 in excellent condition, with a leupold 2-7x33 scope, and a dpt suppressor.
Any ideas as to the value of these?

    Kindest regards

    D

Has the woodwork been refinished? Looks quite light.

I would be around the $800 mark, possibly more depending which model Leupold.

Thank you! That's what I felt was right for this rifle too.
Possibly refinished - looks lighter in the photo that in person.

Also being threaded decreases its value.

Unless you want to use a suppressor, in which case it increases the value by about the $80 it would cost to get threaded.

Before reading anyone else's comments my thought was $600 rifle and $200-300 for scope depending on which model.

Not from a collector's point of view.

Do you know the date of manufacture? If not it's stamped on the LH side of the barrel and receiver as two digits. The early Brno's i.e. before CZ took over in late 1967, are far more valuable if in very good condition, unaltered and original. The stock has been chequered on the fore-end which was not standard. Even so with the modifications, your rifle looks to be in very good condition and with the Leupold scope is well worth $800 provided the bore is in excellent condition.

Pretty sure that the later ones actually have CZ markings on them, I was told mine is an early one and it only has Brno markings

    Ryan,

What year was your rifle manufactured? The date (shown as a two digit number e.g. 74 meaning 1974) is at the front of the receiver on the left hand side and on the breech end of the barrel adjacent to that.
