    Vortex Diamondback HP 3-12x42

Hi guys I was just looking into getting a new scope and was wondering what the Vortex Diamondback HP 3-12x42 was like as I don't want to spend heaps.

    Cheers

I have several 4-12x40 diamondbacks (the eariler non HP) and for the $ I rate them. Glass is better than the lower end leupolds, and they actually dial really well.

A mate has the 4-16 DB HP and pretty much the same feedback.

Thats good to know thanks just starting to get into shooting a bit further and wanted a dialable scope for hunting that doesn't break the bank but these sound like they will do the trick. When you have bought yours did you import or just buy in nz

    This.

Iv 2 standard diamondbacks and Iv just put a 3-12 hp on a nice .22 Dialing 40 moa to shoot 265yd gongs no problems, other than the numbers on the dial are tiny and my eyes are getting older

I've been looking at the HP diamondback.
Apparently the HP has better Glass and much better eye relief than the older version. Definitely import one. Much cheaper than buying local. OpticZone has 10% atm

We have recently done a test at last light with all our scopes from diamondbacks to our more expensive ones, but no euros. The Diamondbacks performed as good as any if not better than the weaver SuperSlam.
