Thread: VX-5HD 3-15x44 on a T3 - low rings or..?

For those that have done this lots more than me, I'm looking at a VX-5HD 3-15x44 to go on my T3. If I'm using Optilocks will I get enough clearance with low rings, or will I need to step up to medium? 30mm tube so bigger all round than I have currently.
Or thoughts on Talley's?

I run the talley extra lows on my t3 with the vx5 on it and its perfect height... for me atleast

Sphur direct Tikka mounts.

Makes every other solution look like shit you bought off Wish/AliExpress

yep same setup, go with the low, perfect amount of clearance. Only down side is vx5 has long bell so not much room for adjustment forward or back.

Talley exta low or Optilock ringmounts which are equivalent to Talley lows.

Another vote for Talley lows. Eactly the setup you are talking about in this pic, extra lows might work too if you want to get it super low.

Oh no! Another Tikka product sticker man . It always amazes me when I see those Bushnell rifle scopes with the big silver Rainguard sticker plastered on them. Still, if it makes people happy to have ugly packaging stickers plastered on their gear then why not?

@10-Ring just never got round to taking it off to be honest, that rifle was hardly used. It is @andyanimal31 's problem now as he now owns that rifle!
