Thread: Walnut and blued steel,

In keeping with a bit of a theme of mine recently.
Went bush stalking goats with a 32" barrelled Pedersoli Sharps 1874 long range rifle. Using black powder loaded 45-70 with 405gr cast projectiles.
I got two at about 10m. Partner got 3 with a 6mm-223.
Was bloody hot and humid in the thick Waitomo bush. I can also confirm the Sharps is as heavy as it looks.

Seems to be more along the lines of "If your gun isn't almost twice as long as your quarry, you're under gunned."
