This glorious thread was five pages back, back to the top.
A bit of early ANZAC spirit struck me this afternoon so the 1942 Lee Enfield No4 Mk 1* came out for an evening walk. Made in Long Branch, Canada, numbers matching including mag, with a 1942 manufacture sling.
60m neck shot with the open sights. Then it promptly fell into the river so looking a bit bedraggled.

Wow.Did you see the H&H .303 double rifle in the same auction?
It would make a great bush rifle.

Holts had a Boss&Co 303 double rifle that had been missing for 70 years and was found in Japan.

It shot well and the gunsmithing was good, but I suspect the client had fitted the fore end because it had huge gaps and didn't touch any of the right places.
I still have to epoxy bed and touch up the gaps to my new barrel
