Size: 2.14 MBflash as some previous but I still love it.Used to sit in the library at school a long time ago( really long time actually) drooling over hunting books mentioning Sakos , Parker hales etc. saw this in a shop many years ago and bought it.
Stripped back the stock ,True oiled, fitted a pad as the old one was perished from sitting in someone’s cupboard for may years. Bluing is original and the only scuffs it has are ones Ive put on it. If I only had one gun it would be this .

Sorry Erniec , 308 . Shoots Sako Gamehead 1 inch at a hundred . Quite light compared to My Bergara extreme hunter , which is “chunky”.

Been looking for one of these for a few years now. Managed to pick it up today.
Sako Finnwolf 308 with 2-7 Leupold. Not the prettiest but a bit of a project.

Nice one. All sorts of lovely bits of kit on this thread but also you come across rifles you never knew about. Didn’t realise that Sako produced a lever action. Interesting, thanks.

Got this on this forum from a good bugga.
Yet to shoot it- getting the ammo side of things sorted now.

    It's a Carl Gustav 1867 model Remington Rolling block in 12.7x44 - basically a 50 cal version of 45-70.
Shoots 400 +grainers with Black Powder.
Dummy round sitting next to a 243.

Thanks to @Akaroa for advice and info about Black Powder shooting.
