Bought a heavy barreled T3 varmint rifle but didn't really do much varminting.
Then realised my scope didn't fit the Optilocks, as it touched the heavy barrel.
Got some horrible Warne adjustable windage rings to fit the scope.
Hated the rings, hated carrying the rifle around.
Sold it for a loss of around $450 all up.
yea I did this to a .22 Attachment 37332
bit wanky but turned out bloody handy then wacked a shiny silver scope on it
After a long wait I bought myself the so "special" CZ455 22lr varmint, awesome little toy. 2 months later I won our local NZDA club shoot with it, on the same day I of the comp on way back home I stop on my "home" hunting shop, to my surprise they had just "landed" at the shop a same CZ455 on the evolution stock... Guess what?! I bought it as well, no need to it "at all" just the "need" of a "fancy" toy...
Boomer! I actually don't like the evolution stock as much I thought I would, planing in get a Boyds, Tacticool or something like it to replace the Evo.
Na this guy was extremely special, you will remember seeing the truck around I am sure, yellow old old shape lux,, chrome or s/s stacks up each side of the cab massive wank roll bar covered in spotlights that would probably stall the 2.2 if turned on, ridiculously high but only on 33s.
Had a pig on the back for over a week once.
Lol I had a mate who owned an old petrol hilux. He put a set of 33" Maxxis on it and never drove it cuz of the guard rub. I don't think they ever touched mud once. Then he sold the truck.
Great thread!
Took one mint old Sako L61R finnbear (and I mean pristine) dropped it into a macmillian stock, shortened the barrel and whacked a can on it. This was before macmillians and cans were very common in NZ. After defiling the poor old thing I sold it for a massive loss to trade in on a CZ. I've never spoke publicly about it, still makes me cringe
Brought a lime green LJ Torana with a bonnet scoop and worked motor... OK i was young and it sounded cool. Turns out the whole floor was rusted out and covered with fibreglass! Had to weld the whole thing up at an expense of several months worth of weekends.:dark mood:
I once bought a Holden. At least the new owner found a use for it
