What Replacement for AR calibre ?

There are a few posts now about what people are doing with their money from handing in MSSAs, now they aren't limited to 5.56. What have you decided to do ?

    Rimfire: 22LR, 17HMR or bigger
    223: or 5.56 again
    300AAC BLK
    High performance 20 /22 / 6mm: Valkyrie, 6mmPPC, 204R etc in 223 length.
    6.5 Grendel
    6.8 SPC
    7.62x39
    Longer case: 22-250, 6x47, 308 etc
A better idea: tell us !
Take the money and run: Optics, holiday, present

Yes, I should have had an option for "short straight wall cartridges".

So far a 308 and a 6.5 creed. The 308 will likely become a prs style rimfire though. Semi auto of course

Man I’m really disappointed with the above poll!
    Your missing my semiautomatic club!
It’s a log of wood that I’ve attached a rubber band to!
I’m going to paint the rubber band black then I’ll need to get an import license and then it will go into tear three and will need to be added to a register and leaked to the rest of the world. The good news with my club is that they grow there own serial numbers. There called growth rings and each one is individual. But I’m sure that Nappy rash and co will be able to waste taxs payers money by forcing me to rewrite a new serial number so that they ruin my perfectly nice club! In fact you can probably bet your bottom dollar that by the end of it my club will have lost so much bark it will lose the will to be semi auto and just throw it’s self on the fire.
Then it will be charged death duty....otherwise know as carbon tax

I’ll have to trade up and buy a 7x57 or 8x57
It's all fun and games till Darthvader comes along
I respect your beliefs but don't impose them on me.

I used my AR for wallaby control and latterly service rifle the 223 was in my opinion perfect I also had the reloading gear and cheap factory ammo and once fired cases also if I loose an ejected a case in the long grass I don't get to upset.

I am playing with a Ruger Ranch Rifle and a Browning Superlight 223 as a replacement.

That makes sense to me as I have more ammo than a bull can shit.
It takes 43 muscle's to frown and 17 to smile, but only 3 for proper trigger pull.

Got another 223 bolt action to burn up ammo, but also ended up with 30-30, .357, .44mag, .303, 6.5x55, 6x45, 6mmRem and a 7mmRM in various bolt, break and lever actions
