does anyone by chance know what the thread size is on a ruger american centerfire barrel is it the same as tikka or savage got a 3006 with a pencil barrel and wouldnt mind something a bit heavier after about 3 shots the groups open up a lot but the first 3 are good

Ya should only need 1 shot
-
My 416 has a 3 shot mag-one up the spout makes 4. If I cant get the big nasty with them its-
One:its probably too late to worry about it and reload and
two:I shouldn't be there lol
-
Its good to be able to do a few more shots at targets and load development without having to wait a month for it to cool down enough
-
Teaches you for buying a 30cal :ORLY:
Yeah they hate getting hot mine did aswell
Good thing about a thin barrel is they cool fast aswell
Just shoot 3 shot groups and wait 5 minutes before the next group
Not worth changing barrels for that mate
As others have said its a hunting rifle not a target rifle
Treat it as such those ruger Americans shoot good my 223 one was awesome

Na only real blokes shoot 30 cal and upwards this one needs to be dead cold to shoot well it will put 3 shots into a tiny bit over an inch tho so that fine dor hunting

I have no issues with bigger than 30 infact I own 4 just 30 itself
